Fast, safe, and coordinated steel assembly – 40 tons in just 10 days
During the reconstruction of the fire station in Umeå, Toseto was entrusted with the steel assembly work. The project involved approximately 40 tons of steel structures, all installed within a remarkably short timeframe of just 10 days.
The main challenge of this project was not only the tight schedule, but also the complex conditions on-site. The assembly took place inside a large heated tent that had already been erected to allow parallel work by other contractors. This required a high level of precision, planning, and flexibility from our team.
Toseto was responsible for repeatedly opening and closing the roof of the tent for each phase of the assembly, working in close coordination with crane operators and site management. Installing heavy trusses and steel beams in such confined and controlled conditions demanded exceptional logistics and strict safety measures – all of which were handled smoothly thanks to our experienced crew and seamless cooperation with all stakeholders.
This project is a testament to Toseto’s ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure – quickly, collaboratively, and safely.
